All motions carried 6-2 vote, staff is recommending purchasing the equipment and shelters based <br />off of the PTRC's motions. <br />The project plans (Attachment B) and specifications are prepared and the project is ready for <br />solicitation of construction bids. Adoption of Resolution 2023-027 will approve the plans and <br />specification and order bid advertisement for the Arden Manor Park and Floral Park <br />Improvements Project. Bids would be received on June 5, 2023, and presented to the City <br />Council on June 12, 2023, with an appropriate resolution to award the construction contract. <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 2023-027 as provided in Attachment A. <br />Budget Impact <br />Since the Work Session discussion on Monday May 15, 2023, some estimated costs have been <br />updated to account for changes to: <br />- Select Granular around maintenance strips at Floral Park courts expanded slightly <br />- Geotextile fabric added beneath the Floral Park courts <br />- Various revisions to shelter slab detail sheets requested by structural engineer <br />- Some costs updated (some based on recent bid results on another project) <br />The project funding is provided below: <br />Funding <br />Arden Manor Park: <br />CDBG Program $ 189,700 <br />City PIR - Parks $ 60,000 <br />Total $ 249,700 <br />Floral Park: <br />City PIR - Parks $ 606,000 <br />Total $ 606,000 <br />Per CIP: Roof work $ 30,000 <br />Play structure $150,000 <br />Hard courts $426,000 <br />Primary elements of improvements at each park are play structure replacement, play structure <br />container replacement, hard court rehabilitation, trail improvements, ADA improvements, shelter <br />improvements and other amenities. <br />HR Green Contract $ 124,030 <br />Arden Manor Park Construction $ 381,988 <br />Floral Park Construction $ 407,975 <br />Total $ 913,993 <br />The estimated cost is $58,293 over the total budgeted amount for both parks. The cost estimate <br />tables can be reviewed in Attachment C.
