Rice Creek Commons <br />Joint Development Authority <br />Communica�ons Plan <br />May 2023 <br />Goals <br />• Coordinate communica�ons about Rice Creek Commons through the Joint Development <br />Authority (JDA). <br />• Engage with and communicate transparently with residents and key stakeholders. <br />Process <br />• Staff communica�ons leads will meet on a regular basis to iden�fy communica�ons <br />opportuni�es. This group includes: <br />o Kari Collins, Ramsey County <br />o Ella Mitchell, Ramsey County <br />o Symone Hubbard, Ramsey County <br />o Dave Perrault, Arden Hills <br />o Luke Cardona, Arden Hills <br />o Sara Swenson, Goff Public <br />• JDA Advisory Commitee will review and approve all communica�ons. <br />• JDA will receive communica�ons in advance as an FYI. <br />• Ramsey County staff will be responsible for sharing communica�ons with other board members <br />and/or staff. <br />• Arden Hills staff will be responsible for sharing communica�ons with other council members <br />and/or staff. <br />Media rela�ons <br />Proactive media relations <br />• Informa�on about decisions made by the JDA will come from the JDA. <br />• Informa�on about land sales or other county-led processes will come from Ramsey County. <br />Arden Hills and the JDA will be informed of communica�ons. <br />• Informa�on about zoning changes or other city-led processes will come from Arden Hills. <br />Ramsey County and the JDA will be informed of communica�ons. <br />Reactive media protocol <br />• Sara Swenson will serve as the media contact for the JDA. <br />• If reporters reach out directly to JDA commissioners, they can respond to the inquiry and/or <br />share the inquiry with Sara Swenson who can coordinate a response. <br />
