<br />. <br /> <br />split and that recommendation was again reiterated by the staff <br />so that $258,083 would be raised by assessments and the City would <br />pick up $258,083. The cost works out to $52.89 a front foot on <br />the front foot assessments. On the acreage assessment, there are <br />33 acres that would be assessed at $1,173.10 per acre. We're <br />recommending that this be spread over the ten year period as well, <br />with the interest carrying charge of 10.01%, with the rights of <br />prepayment as expressed earlier. <br /> <br />MAYOR WOODBURN: I will ask the Clerk Administrator if there <br />are any written objections or other opinions or questions. <br /> <br />MRS. McNIESH: There are none. <br /> <br />MAYOR WOODBURN: I will open the hearing for everyone on the <br />floor. I hear nothing. We will move on then to the Council for <br />their comments. Hearing no comments from the Council, I will <br />close the hearing and ask the Council for their action. <br /> <br />Councilman Johnson then introduced the following resolution <br /> <br />and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 82-48 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND CONFIRMING <br />ASSESSMENTS FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. P-80-1 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden <br /> <br />Hills, Minnesota, as follows: <br /> <br />1. The amount proper and necessary to be specially assessed <br />at this time for Improvement No. P-80-1 against every assessable <br />lot, piece or parcel of land affected thereby has been duly cal- <br />culated upon the basis of benefits, without regard to cash valua- <br />tion, in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, <br />Chapter 429, as amended, and notice has been duly mailed and pub- <br />lished, as required by law, that this Council would meet to hear, <br />consider and pass upon all objections, if any, and said proposed <br />assessment has at all times since its filing been open for public <br />inspection, and an opportunity has been given to all interested <br />persons to present their objections, if any, to such proposed <br />assessments. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2. This Council, having heard and considered all objections <br />so presented, and being fully advised in the premises, finds that <br />each of the lots, pieces and parcels of land enumerated in the <br />proposed assessment was and is specially benefited by the con- <br />struction of said improvement in not less than the amount of the <br />assessment set opposite the description of each such lot, piece <br />and parcel of land, respectively, and such amount so set out is <br />hereby levied against each of the respective lots, pieces and <br />parcels of land therein. <br /> <br />3. The proposed assessments are hereby adopted and confirmed <br />as the proper special assessments for each of said lots, pieces <br /> <br />2 <br />
