OPTIONAL ITEM — 4A <br />,-ARZEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: October 9, 2023 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Food Donation Discussion <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A N/A N/A <br />For Council Consideration <br />Council should consider providing direction on hosting a food donation box at City Hall. <br />Background <br />Council requested Staff to bring forward a discussion on hosting a food donation box at City Hall. <br />Staff did contact the Ralph Feeder Food Shelf as they do something similar with other <br />organizations in the area, such as the City of Shoreview and the Lake Johanna Fire Department. <br />The commitment is minimal from the City's perspective, when the donation box is full a Staff <br />member would need to transport it to Ralph Reeder. If Council is supportive, Staff will put a box in <br />the lobby and advertise it in the newsletter and on the City website.
