Attachment A <br /> -A DIkEEN HILLS <br /> CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> POSITION DESCRIPTION <br /> Position Title: Office Support Specialist <br /> Department: Finance and Administration <br /> Accountable to: City Clerk <br /> Positions Supervised: None <br /> Status: Regular Full Time <br /> June 2015 <br /> PRIMARY OBJECTIVES <br /> Performs intermediate skilled administrative support work providing a variety of routine and complex clerical and <br /> administrative support assistance, and related duties as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the <br /> limited supervision of the City Clerk. <br /> QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. <br /> The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable <br /> accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. <br /> ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION <br /> Prepares various types of correspondence including press letters, memos, reports, press releases, City Council <br /> Packets, Legal Notices, promotional materials, etc. <br /> Compiles, prepares, and distributes department-specific agenda packets, and supporting material. <br /> Creates and maintains files and records to ensure City information is complete, accurate and current. <br /> Creates databases and enters department data on the computer in order to maintain and generate accurate <br /> computer inquiries and reports. <br /> Assists City staff with maintaining the City's web site. <br /> Prepares promotional flyers as directed by Parks and Recreation Manager. <br /> Provides backup to Customer Service Specialist by answering phone calls, answering questions from the public, <br /> or routing calls as appropriate. <br /> Generates permits and answers questions related to permits and process. <br /> Serves as back-up Customer Service Specialist as needed. <br /> Assists Planner with file maintenance. <br /> Assists other staff as necessary. <br /> EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE <br /> High school diploma or GED with coursework in business, or related field and moderate experience in <br /> technical training, IT, office support, word processing, or equivalent combination of education and experience. <br /> 1 <br />
