FACILITIES TO BE REMOVED SHALL BE UNDERCUT TO SUITABLE MATERIAL AND BROUGHT TOGRADE WITH SUITABLE COMPACTED FILL MATERIAL PER THE PROJECT DOCUMENTS.2. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVING ALL DEBRIS FROM THE SITE AND DISPOSING OF THE DEBRIS IN A LAWFUL MANNER AND INACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL AND STATE REGULATIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ANY REQUIRED PERMITS FOR DEMOLITION AND DISPOSALFROM THE APPROPRIATE LOCAL AND STATE AGENCIES. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE COPIES OF THE PERMIT AND RECEIPTS OF DISPOSAL OFMATERIALS TO THE OWNER AND OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE, INCLUDING THE TYPE OF DEBRIS AND LOCATION WHERE IT WAS DISPOSED.3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN UTILITY SERVICES TO ADJACENT PROPERTIES AT ALL TIMES. UTILITY SERVICES SHALL NOT BE INTERRUPTEDWITHOUT APPROVAL FROM THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AND COORDINATION WITH THE ADJACENT PROPERTIES AND/OR THE CITY.4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH RESPECTIVE UTILITY COMPANIES PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL AND/OR RELOCATION OF UTILITIES. THECONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE UTILITY COMPANY CONCERNING PORTIONS OF WORK WHICH MAY BE PERFORMED BY THE UTILITYCOMPANY'S FORCES AND ANY FEES WHICH ARE TO BE PAID TO THE UTILITY COMPANY FOR THEIR SERVICES. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLEFOR PAYING ALL FEES AND CHARGES.5. THE LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES SHOWN ON THE PLAN HAVE BEEN DETERMINED FROM THE BEST INFORMATION AVAILABLE AND ARE GIVENFOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE CONTRACTOR. THE ENGINEER ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACCURACY. PRIOR TO THE START OF ANYDEMOLITION ACTIVITY, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE AFFECTED UTILITY COMPANIES TO PROVIDE LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES WITHINPROPOSED WORK AREA.6. ADEQUATE TIME SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR RELOCATION AND CLOSE COORDINATION WITH THE UTILITY COMPANYIS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE A SMOOTH TRANSITION IN UTILITY SERVICE. CONTRACTOR SHALL PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO EXISTING UTILITIES WITHINANY ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY DURING CONSTRUCTION.8. CONTRACTOR MUST PROTECT THE PUBLIC AT ALL TIMES WITH FENCING, BARRICADES, ENCLOSURES, ETC. (AND OTHER APPROPRIATE BESTMANAGEMENT PRACTICES) AS APPROVED BY THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER. MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SHALL BE COORDINATED INACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY, COUNTY, AND STATE DOT AS NECESSARY.9. CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN ACCESS TO ADJACENT PROPERTIES DURING CONSTRUCTION, AND SHALL NOTIFY ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS IFACCESS WILL BE INTERRUPTED OR ALTERED AT ANY TIME DURING CONSTRUCTION.10. PRIOR TO THE START OF DEMOLITION, INSTALL EROSION CONTROL BMP'S IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EROSION & SEDIMENT CONTROL PLANS /SWPPP.11. CONTRACTOR MAY LIMIT SAW-CUT AND PAVEMENT REMOVAL TO ONLY THOSE AREAS WHERE IT IS REQUIRED AS SHOWN ON THESE CONSTRUCTIONPLANS BUT IF ANY DAMAGE IS INCURRED ON ANY OF THE SURROUNDING PAVEMENT OR CURB, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ITSREMOVAL AND REPAIR.12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WATER MAIN WORK WITH THE CITY WATER AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS TO ENSURE ADEQUATE FIREPROTECTION IS CONSTANTLY AVAILABLE TO THE SITE AND SURROUNDING PROPERTIES THROUGH ALL PHASES OF CONSTRUCTION. CONTRACTORWILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING/PROVIDING ANY REQUIRED WATER MAIN SHUT OFFS WITH THE CITY. ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH WATERMAIN SHUT OFFS WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR AND NO EXTRA COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED.13. IN THE EVENT A WELL IS FOUND, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE ENGINEER AND OWNER IMMEDIATELY. ALL WELLS SHALL BE SEALED BY ALICENSED WELL CONTRACTOR IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE REQUIREMENTS.14. IN THE EVENT THAT UNKNOWN CONTAINERS OR TANKS ARE ENCOUNTERED, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE OWNER AND/OR OWNERSREPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY.
