<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDE:\f IIILLS CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION MINUTES <br />MARCH 18, 2002 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />Mayor Probst again reaClirnled his confidencc the money could be raised and what wasn't <br />raised would be funded by the City. <br /> <br />Community Development <br /> <br />Planning/Zoning - TCAAP Developer Discussion - Probst recapped which developcrs <br />to date have made a presentation to Council for TCAAP redcvclopment. He also <br />indicated he has received calls from Weis Builders and Ryan Companies but both <br />companics havc sincc changcd thcir minds. <br /> <br />Council agreed their next regular session on April 8, 2002, would be the last time <br />companies can present their redevelopment plans to Council for possible pm1nering. <br />Council agreed they would make a decision by the end of April as to which developer <br />they would partncr with for TCAAP redevelopment with the understanding with the <br />developer that they would not have sole right to develop every acre of lmld. He indicatcd <br />if a developer was chosen and turned out to not meet the nccds of the City, a different <br />developer Catl be sought. <br /> <br />Lynch reminded Council of the list they developed of the prefelTed outcomcs of the <br />TCAAP property and wondered ifthey would want to review this list again and confirm <br />these wcrc truly thc dcsircd outcomes. Council could then use this list when choosing a <br />developer. Lynch wi]] distribute this list to Council for their review. <br /> <br />Parrish will ask potential developers for past examples 0 f redevelopmcnt proj ects and <br />also contact communitics who have had public hearings on developmental projccts. <br /> <br />Rem voiced her concern that the TCAAP propel1y would truly be released. Probst <br />indicated his confidence is so strong because similar properties arc being released around <br />the country already which is setting the precedent. He also has confidcnce in the <br />developers bccause two developers have already put real money on the table. <br /> <br />Parrish notcd hc belicvcd somc type of a public hearing where the residents could provide <br />some kind of input was a good idea. He indicatcd when Apache was remodeled the <br />residents were brought together for their input and we could do something similar. <br />Parrish was requested to contact other cities that have been in similar situations and. <br /> <br />Operations & Maintenance Department <br /> <br />Comp Parks, Trails, & Open Space Plan and CIP Recommendation - Grcgg <br />Ingraham ofIngraham and Associates highlighted the current version orthc Park Comp <br />Plan and indicated the PTRC is asking for input from the Council for final approval and <br />direction. <br /> <br />The Park Comp Plan listed a $6.5 million figure for fix up, fit up, and expansion of parks <br />and trail. Mayor Probst asked the committee how that figured was arrivcd. Crassweller <br />
