<br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />MAY 28, 2002 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Grant moved and Council Member Larson seconded <br />a motion to continue the Council meeting to 10:30 p,m. The motion <br />carried unanimously (5-0), <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Larson moved and Council Member Aplikowski, <br />seconded a motion to approve the PMP Projects for the Ingerson <br />neighborhood and the Mill and Overlay of the Karth Lake <br />neighborhood, <br /> <br />Council Member Rem asked if they were approving the PMP or CIP. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Larson moved to amend his motion to include the <br />water main utility and storm water utility recommendations as they <br />are a part of the Ingerson neighborhood project. Council Member <br />Aplikowski accepted the amendment. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />. ADMINISTRATOR COMMENTS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Council Member Grant requested 7B be heard before 7 A. <br /> <br />B. City Accountant/Treasurer Memorandum <br /> <br />Mr. Lynch explained the current and historical duties of the City Accountant/City <br />Treasurer. He recommended the Council find the position of City Treasurer was <br />necessary; the position was not a voluntary position and had not been since July <br />27, 1992; that the duties and responsibilities of City Treasurer can be perfomled by <br />one person in one position; that the duties and responsibilities of City Treasurer be <br />specifIcally denoted in the job description of City Accountant; find that both <br />positions have been performed by Mr. Post for the last ten (10) years; find that <br />both positions should continue to be perfonned by Mr. Post as City Accountant; <br />find that if Mr. Post indicated refusal to perfoml the duties of City Treasurer as <br />found necessary and as directed by Council, Mr. Post be informed that he could be <br />disciplined, including termination for failure to perform his job as directed, <br />
