<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />MAY 28, 2002 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Chairman Rich Straumann of the PTRC stated the members of the committee had <br />worked very hard to come up with a plan and they were excited to see this get <br />approved. He stated they felt this was complete and he urged approval of it. <br /> <br />Roberta Thompson stated it was very important that they received comments and <br />support from the residents of the City, and this Plan was a strong representation as <br />to what the residents were looking for. <br /> <br />Council Member Grant thanked all of the members of the PTRC for all of their <br />hard work. He expressed concern regarding the storm water management plan in <br />Valentine Park. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Grant moved for a motion to accept Resolution No. <br />02-26, 2002 - 2022 Parks, Trails, and Open Space Plan adding in the <br />language the City Council endorses the parks, trails, and open space <br />plan, and where there were differences with the Surface Water <br />Management Plan that the Parks, Trails and Open Space Plan shall <br />take precedence, <br /> <br />Mayor Probst suggested rather than trying to incorporate that language into this <br />Resolution they adopt the resolution as presented, and that they take a second <br />action adding in Mr. Grant's proposed language. <br /> <br />Council Member Grant expressed concern that Mayor Probst did not ask for a <br />second to his motion. Council Member Aplikowski clarified it was not necessary <br />that a second to a motion be asked for. <br /> <br />Council Member Grant accepted Mayor Probst's suggestion, <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Grant moved and Council Member Aplikowski <br />seconded a motion to accept Resolution No. 02-26, 2002 - 2022 <br />Parks, Trails, and Open Space Plan as presented. The motion carried <br />unanimously (5-0). <br />
