CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayor Probst stated the he had received a declaration that the cable service was no <br />longer subject to franchise fees and asked if they wanted to discuss this at the next <br />Council meeting. Council decided to wait for an FCC decision before discussing <br />this, <br /> <br />Mayor Probst requested a future discussion about future Day in the Park Festivals. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst requested a joint meeting with the Planning Commission to update <br />them on the 35W coalition. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst gave an update on the TCAAP Issue and the first community <br />meeting, <br /> <br />Council Member Rem stated the League of Minnesota Human Rights Commission <br />was having their annual meeting on September 29. <br /> <br />Council Member Rem updated Council on information received from the <br />Northwest Youth and Family Services. <br /> <br />Council Member Rem stated the Metropolitan Council was having a meeting on <br />Wednesday night in North St. Paul, which she would attend. <br /> <br />Council Member Aplikowski stated Ms, Galatowitsch had resigned from the <br />Planning Commission due to her moving out of the City. She asked if Council <br />wanted to ask the other candidates who had applied for the previous openings if <br />they wanted to serve on the Commission, Mayor Probst requested staff gather <br />together the infonnation from the previous applicants. <br /> <br />Council Member Aplikowski updated Council on the Day in the Park Festival. <br />She indicated the fundraising was coming along, but they would need further <br />funding, She asked jf the Council Members would be willing to volunteer their <br />time after the parade to work for an hour or two, <br /> <br />Council Member Larson updated Council on the recent Fire Board Meeting. <br />
