<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />JUNE 24, 2002 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />Council Member Aplikowski asked if they were requesting financial support. Mr. <br />Anderson replied they were not. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst suggested the last paragraph of the Resolution read: Therefore, be it <br />resolved, the City of Arden Hills hereby strongly states its support for the Ramsey <br />County Library's 2003 request to maintain current levels of operation at its <br />facilities and supports the Ramsey County Board to pursue appropriate funding. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Probst moved and Council Member Rem seconded a motion to <br />approve the Resolution Acknowledging Support for the Ramsey <br />County Library's 2003 Request to Maintain Current Levels of <br />Operation at its Facilities. The motion carried unanimously (5-0), <br /> <br />B. Resolution No. 02-28 Recognizing Therese Galatowitsch for service to <br />the Arden Hills Planning Commission <br /> <br />Mayor Probst recognized Therese Galatowitsch for her servIce on the City <br />Planning Commission, <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Larson moved and Council Member Aplikowski <br />seconded a motion to approve Resolution No. 02-28 Recognizing <br />Therese Galatowitsch for service to the Arden Hills Planning <br />Commission. The motion carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> <br />C. D.A.R.E. Program <br /> <br />Undersheriff Altendorfer summarized the D.A.R.E. program and asked for <br />Council's financial support for the program. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst indicated in the past, the City Council had discussed this and had <br />supported the program, with concerns. He stated his personal experience was that <br />the program did not seem to show the results it should be showing, Undersheriff <br />Altendorfer replied two years ago he would have agreed with the Mayor, but since <br />that time, changes had been made. He indicated it was difficult to show if the <br />D,A.R,E, Program did or did not make a difference. <br /> <br />Council Member Aplikowski asked how many hours the officers spent at the High <br />Schools. She indicated she was wondering why the School Resource Officer could <br />not be a part of the D.A.R.E. Program. Undersheriff Altendorfer replied the <br />
