<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES <br />SEPTEMBER 16, 2002 <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />Administrator Lynch said the landscape architect would redo the city hall <br />landscape plan. He explained, regarding the interior roof problems, he would be <br />meeting with Rochon. He said, regarding TCAAP, he had received a call from <br />Representative McCollum, who requested a meeting on September 23, 2002, with <br />GSA, DNR, and the Department ofthe Army, to discuss the excess land issues. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br /> <br />A. Council Member Grant: Council Member Grant said the Maintenance <br />Facility Task Force did a good job. He asked if the City actually planted <br />alfalfa on the City Hall site. Administrator Lynch said that is one of the <br />reasons the landscaping issue at City Hall would be revisited. <br /> <br />B. Council Member Larson - NONE <br /> <br />C. Council Member Aplikowski: Council Member Aplikowski called <br />attention to the Metropolitan Council 2030 Blueprint changing the timeline <br />for Comprehensive Plans, stating this action puts a real "crunch" on cities. <br />She said another concern was the change of the focus of the MUSA line, <br />and the idea that cities must proactively address affordable housing. <br /> <br />D. Council Member Rem: Council Member Rem asked that the TCAAP <br />Advisory Panel appointment procedure be posted on the City website. <br /> <br />E. Mayor Probst: Mayor Probst complimented staff regarding the repair of a <br />water main break. He said he was concerned that the recent Nelson Planned <br />Unit Development had been addressed three times. He stated he would be <br />meeting with Administrator Lynch and The National Guard regarding <br />TCAAP, to further build that partnership. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst adjourned the Work Session at 8:40 p.1l1. <br />
