<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 16,2001 <br />4:45 P.M. - CITY HALL, 4364 WEST ROUND LAKE ROAD <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Probst called the meeting to order at 4:50 p.m. Those present included <br />Councilmembers Beverly Aplikowski, Gregg Larson, and Lois Rem. <br /> <br />Councilmember David Grant had previously informed the City Council of his <br />inability to attend tonight's meeting. <br /> <br />Staff present included City Administrator, Joe Lynch; Public Works Director, <br />Dwayne Stafford; Parks and Recreation Director, Tom Moore; Planner, Jennifer <br />Chaput; and Recording Secretary, Sheila Stowell. <br /> <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br /> <br />I-35W Noise Wall <br />City Administrator Lynch provided an overview of the request from the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for the proposed noise wall along 1-35W <br />adjacent to Arden Manor Mobile Home Park. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst requested whether or not MnDOT was notifying residents regarding their <br />preference for the noise wall aesthetics, or whether or not they were interested in the <br />noise walls. <br /> <br />Staff was directed to provide more information to the City Council and pursue several <br />issues with MnDOT, prior to future City Council action adopting a resolution of support. <br />Staff was also directed to request a representative of MnDOT to attend a future Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />County Road D Development <br />Planner Chaput provided an overview of the recent meeting with potential developers <br />regarding the triangular piece of property in the area zoned Neighborhood Business <br />District along Count Road D. <br /> <br />Arden Hills Notes Readership Survey <br />City Administrator Lynch referred to the survey recently conducted by Mary Nosek, also <br />a volunteer of the Communications Committee. Mr. Lynch advised that the Committee <br />might need to review the future of the avenues used by the City for communication <br />purposes. <br /> <br />Councilmembers discussed various options for the future of the newsletter. <br />
