Council indicated a desire to possibly reconsider a <br />timeframe for the two Friday Retreat days. Staff was directed to contact the <br />facility to see if the Friday, March 2nd time could be moved from an 8:00 a.m. to <br />4:30 p.m. timeframe from a 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m. timeframe; and if the start <br />time on March 9th could be moved back to a 9:00 a.m. start time, rather than 8:00 <br />a.m. City Administrator Lynch will check with the facility and the Facilitator, <br />and get back to the City Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst updated the City Council on the meeting that was held on Thursday, <br />February 15,2001 with the Army National Guard and Ramsey County concerning <br />establishment of a joint cooperative maintenance facility. All parties agreed that <br />they no longer wanted to be involved with the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation in considering a more expansive facility. Mayor Probst indicated <br />that he had agreed for the City of Arden Hills to take the lead in the process for <br />the next step, which was to hire an architect to begin design plans for the joint and <br />cooperative facility. The City Council discussed the role and function of the <br />Public Works Task Force and when discussion and decision would potentially <br />take place regarding the City's actual intent of going forward in a cooperative <br />venture with either Ramsey County or the Army National Guard for such a <br />facility. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Stafford commented on Ramsey County Transportation <br />Improvement Plan (TIP), and the fact that the Segment II on Highway 96 had <br />been moved up to a 2002 schedule; County Road I from Schutta Road east had <br />been moved up to a 2002 schedule; the combined City cost had gone up from an <br />approximate $235,000 to an approximate $700,000. The Council inquired <br />whether the City's MSA funding could be used for the City's portion of costs <br />related to County Road 1. City Administrator Lynch responded that he did not <br />know, but would return with an answer to the City Council. <br /> <br />City Councilmembers inquired about the potential Public Works vehicle purchase <br />on the Consent Calendar Agenda for the February 26, 200 I. Councilmember <br />Grant indicated a desire to look at the piece of equipment that was being replaced. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rem updated the City Council on the Website Task Force and the <br />meeting that would be taking place shortly. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned by consensus at 7:38 p.m. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />
