<br />. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION <br />MONDAY, AUGUST 20, 2001 <br />4:45 P.M. - CITY HALL, 4364 WEST ROUND LAKE ROAD <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Acting Mayor David Grant called the meeting to order at 4:52 p.m. <br />Councilmembers present were Gregg Larson and Lois Rem with Councilmember <br />Beverly Aplikowski arriving at 4:54 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst had previously advised the City Council of his absence for this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Staff present included City Administrator, Joe Lynch; City Accountant, Terry <br />Post; Parks & Recreation and Interim Public Works Director, Tom Moore; and <br />Recording Secretary, Sheila Stowell. <br /> <br />City Consulting Engineer, Greg Brown, was also present. <br /> <br />FINANCE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />A brief discussion of the preparation status of the proposed 2002 Budget was <br />held. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of those Councilmembers present to schedule a Truth in <br />Taxation hearing in December, even though not required this year due to the <br />action of the special legislative session. <br /> <br />Staff was directed to provide meeting date options for Councilmembers to <br />consider at their next regular City Council meeting, with preference given to <br />immediately prior to a regularly scheduled meeting, possibly at the last meeting in <br />November or early December. <br /> <br />Staffwas further directed to include further discussion of the proposed 2002 <br />Budget at the August 27, 200 I meeting as a regular agenda item. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Grant introduced Consulting Engineer Ronald B. Leaf, P. E., and <br />Project Manager with Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. (S.E.H.), the firm contracted <br />by the City to develop the City's Stormwater Management Plan. Mr. Leaf <br />answered questions and heard comment regarding work to-date on the draft Plan. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of those Councilmembers present that the document layout <br />the City of Arden Hills' goals, not necessarily strict adherence to the goals of the <br />
