ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION - AUGUST 20, 2001 2 . Rice Creek Watershed District. Discussion included agreement in principle of and coordination with Rice Creek Watershed District's goals; inclusion of Marsden Lake and other TCAAP areas on the appropriate map; revision of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Implementation Schedule (Table 6) to accommodate realistic cost and time projections; coordination ofthe Stormwater Management Plan with the City's Comprehensive Park Plan; matching regional pond locations as identified by the City's Consulting Engineer Firm; inclusion of the City's drainage report as an appendix; projected pond locations on existing public property with no projected land acquisition costs and the flexibility of moving ponds to other locations (i.e., Valentine Park); reduction of Appendix D to a summary; and procedure and a theoretical timeframe for handling plan amendments. Mr. Leafwas directed to make the revisions as discussed, along with that formatting, legends, figure captions, and reference clarifications and corrections requested in respective sections. S.E.H. was requested to provide a second draft of the document, as revised, for Council review and preliminary adoption for review by the Rice Creek Watershed District and the Metropolitan Council, as well as the City's Water Quality Task Force for their review and comments in line with the best practices summary previously prepared by the Task Force. . Staff was directed that an anticipated timeframe was for the second draft of the document be provided to the City council within two (2) weeks; further discussion at their September 17,2001 Worksession; preliminary adoption to release the document for agency review at the September 10, 2001 meeting; and formal adoption at one of the regular November City Council meetings, to allow for a sixty (60) day approval period ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT City Hall Dedication (Flae Pole and Trees) Reestablishment of the plaques at the new City Hall, previously located at the old City Hall was briefly discussed. Further discussion included individual dedication of a tree or perennial plantings by each Councilmember. Parks and Recreation and Interim Public Works Director Tom Moore, was directed to contact the Crepeau family for their preference to having the plaque located at City Hall or in Crepeau Preserve. ST AFF COMMENTS City Administrator Lynch updated Councilmembers on the Arden Towers discussion, now scheduled for the September 17, 2001 Worksession. .
