Mayor Probst indicated it could perhaps even be a public safety <br />Issue. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst indicated concern for an article in the January 4, 1995 issue of the BullE'tin <br />regarding the American Indian Housing Corporation. Mayor Probst was concerned that the <br />article's author had not contacted Arden Hills City Hall regarding the property noted, and he did <br />not believe it was a fair evaluation of the issues. Mayor Probst indicated the property has no City <br />water or sewer service, nor police or fire protection services. He indicated the proposed use as <br />described in the newspaper article would not be beneficial to anyone, the incoming residents or <br />the City of Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst indicated there are issues that need to be discussed and no one has contacted the <br />City to do so. Mayor Probst would hate to have families move into situations such as these. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst indicated the interviews held for City Aclmin;otrator held on January 7, 1995 went <br />very well. <br /> <br />MOTION: Aplikowski moved and Keim seconded a motion to call a brief recess. The motion <br />carried unanimously (5-0). <br />Recess called at 8:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Council reconvened at 8:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Extensive discussion was held regarding the interview process for City A clmini<trator. Council <br />indicated all applicants were very impressive. Council agreed to two finalists that would attend <br />an additional interview, these finalists were: Mr. Thomas Melena and Mr. Brian Fritsinger. <br /> <br />Council indicated a luncheon meeting would be held at 12:30 p.m. on January 24, 1995 with <br />interviews to follow at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at City Hall. The date originally scheduled was <br />January 19, 1995 and was subsequently changed to January 24, 1995. <br />
