CONSENT ITEM — 8D <br />'!T� <br />EN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: January 8, 2024 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Dave Perrault., City Administrator <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, Assistant to the City Administrator/City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: 2024 City Commissions and Committees Appointments <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A N/A N/A <br />Council Should Consider the Following Options <br />Motion to approve, table, or deny the following: <br />• Approving Resolution 2024-003 Relating to the Appointments to the Commissions and <br />Committees of the City. <br />Background <br />The City Council annually appoints residents to serve on the various Commissions or Committees in an <br />advisory capacity to the City Council. Per City Code Chapter 2, Section 220, Subsection 220.01, Subd. 7 <br />and 7(A), Commission and Committee Members shall serve for a term of three (3) years and each <br />Member may serve for no more than three (3) consecutive three-year terms. <br />The following sets forth the current Commissioners and Committee Members whose terms expired <br />December 31, 2023, and whether or not they are seeking reappointment for an additional three-year <br />term, together with reappointment or reaffirmation of Chairs: <br />Planning Commission <br />Kurtis Weber is seeking appointment as Chair to the Planning Commission for 2024. <br />Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee (PTRO <br />Jill Anderson is seeking appointment as Chair to the PTRC for 2024 and Kate Olson is seeking <br />appointment as Vice Chair to the PTRC for 2024. <br />Economic Development Commission (EDC <br />Robert Bonine is seeking appointment to the EDC for a three-year term which will expire December 31, <br />2026. <br />Frank Cupery is seeking appointment as Chair to the EDC for 2024. <br />Attachments <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2024-003 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
