He indicated the City can go back and <br />identify these areas with a new designation, but it goes back to ownership issues. <br /> <br />City Administrator Fritsinger indicated using various maps, that in 1965 the area was designated low <br />density residential, in 1972 the same and 1974 it was desigJ1Rted as open space. Also in 1968 there <br />was a street map identifying a street in the site. <br /> <br />Mr. Jay Schrankler of 1798 Venus Avenue, indicated the 1968 street map is referring to a <br />development that had been proposed at that time, but was denied. <br /> <br />Ms. Fran Holmes of 1804 Venus Avenue, indicated the reason the development in 1968 was <br />denied was due to drainage issues. <br /> <br />Ms. Angela Hames indicated support for the review of the entire community for any needed <br />changes. She indicated various realtors, and residents use the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and <br />maps as tools for purchasing homes in Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Mr. Gene Schmidt of 1628 Chatham Avenue, indicated since the area is zoned R-l, the Ogren <br />project should move forward. <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Eha 3898 Dellview, questioned the R-l district, he inquired if the townhomes fit this <br />criteria Mayor Probst indicated the townhomes fit the criteria regarding Single Family attached, he <br />indicated Mr. Eha is thinldng of Single Family detached which is similar to his own home. <br /> <br />Mr. Ogren questioned if the delay of the amendment would affect his project. City Attorney Filla <br />indicated in his opinion it would not be affected. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst closed the Public Hearing at 9:50 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Hicks moved and Malone seconded a motion to table Planning Case #95-12, <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment, and asked staff to review existing land uses and <br />change all discrepancies. The motion carried nnRnimously (5-0). <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Malone moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:55 <br />p.m. The motion carried nnRnimously (5-0). <br />
