I I I I I I I Ie I I I I I I I Ie I ,ARDENJ:Ill,LS CITY COUNCIL - APRIL 24. 1994 7 Mayor Probst congratulated Mr. Post for his contribution in representing the City regarding Water Utilities, the City's decision was upheld. Mayor Probst announced the League of Minnesota Cities' Conference and encouraged other Councilmembers to attend. He is planning on attending and believed it would be an opportunity to meet and work with cities in the northern metro area. Mayor Probst noted Northwest Youth and Family Services has a program on May 2, 1995 and has invited area Mayors and County Commissioners. If anyone is interested, please attend. Mayor Probst updated the Council regarding the recent TCAAP meeting. He believes after safety issues are addressed there will be 30% to 40% of the property available as excess. He noted this will impact the City's reuse plan. Mayor Probst indicated there are rumors regarding a Casino on the property and he wished to clarify for the record, the City of Arden Hills has no information regarding this. There has been no proposal for a Casino brought to the City, no property has been bought and no new construction has begun. Mayor Probst indicated the City's intent is to have our Planning Team establish a Comprehensive Plan that is in the best interest of Arden Hills. Mayor Probst indicated he is confident in 45-60 days the City will be leading the process and providing its plan to the Re1Jfili7J1tion Committee. He noted the City is vigilant at doing what is best for the community.
