The City of Arden Hills should note acceptance and receipt of all nine bid proposals. <br />Bid bonds should be returned to all but the three low bidders for tl1e project. <br /> <br />B. The City should award tl1e project to Veit & company, upon resolution of tl1e <br />alternate bid items presented. <br /> <br />C. All conditions and transactions as noted herein be subject to review and input of tl1e <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />Mr. Stonehouse noted recommendations of tl1e Rice Creek Watershed District will need to be <br />addressed, but tl1ere will be no additional cost to tl1e City. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst inquired about tl1e playground facility. Ms. Walsh indicated tl1e playground facility <br />is not included in tl1is bid, but will need to be added before 1997 to stay in accordance with tl1e grant <br />received by the State. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst inquired if there is a current little league field. Ms. Walsh noted currently there is not <br />a little league field. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst asked ifusing this field for a little league will reduce the field capacity by one-fourtl1. <br />Ms. Walsh explained tl1ere would not be a loss witl1 tl1e addition of lighting of one of tl1e fields. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst inquired if tl1e lighting should be added at a later date. Mr. Stonehouse advised tl1e <br />cost of adding tl1e lights at a later date could be more expensive. Ms. Walsh added tl1e cost of <br />digging the turf up at a later date would also add expense. <br /> <br />Ms. Wa1sh also explained the lighting would also service the parking lot and this is a request of tl1e <br />neighbors and tl1e Sheriffs Department. <br /> <br />Ms. Megan Ricke, Chair oftl1e Parks & Recreation Committee, indicated tl1ey have held meetings <br />witl1 tl1e neighbors and tl1eir concerns were for the lighting and parking. She noted the lighting is <br />more sophisticated than in tl1e past and lighting will be concentrated on tl1e fields. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricke indicated the field at Cummings Park will become available for adult games, previously <br />this field was used for little league and those games will now be at Perry Park. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricke indicated surveys have been taken in regard to improving Perry Park and out of 71 <br />signatures 71 were in favor oftl1e improvements and 68 were in favor of lighting tl1e second field. <br /> <br />Mayor Probst indicated he is in favor oftl1e modifications to Perry Park. <br />
