Section IV, 4 - Budget Acceptance: This is a new paragraph added at the County <br /> . Attorney's Office request. The purpose of this paragraph is to provide some <br /> direction in case the municipality does not accept the estimated budget as outlined <br /> I in Section IV, 3. It requires the County and City to meet prior to January 31 for <br /> the purpose of reviewing and reaching agreement on modifications service level <br /> changes to other municipalities. The City Attorney has reviewed this contract and <br /> . found everything to be in order. <br /> Council member Aplikowski indicated she realized the City has always had a good relationship <br /> . with the County, but questioned if there is a provision for recourse if the City should have <br /> difficulties. Mr. Fritsinger noted the City staff meets monthly with the County Sherift's office <br /> and concerns are usually resolved at those meetings with no problems. <br /> I MOTION: Hicks moved and Malone seconded a motion to adopt Resolution Number 95-84, <br /> .. Authorizing Approval of the Ramsey County Sheriff Agreement for Law <br /> Enforcement Service. Motion carried nnAnimously (5-0). <br /> Adopt. Resolution Number 95-86. Livable Communities Act Goals <br /> I Community Development Director Ringwald reviewed briefly the goals related to the <br /> . implementation of the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act for the calendar year of 1996. <br /> Mr. Ringwald noted in November of 1996, the City Council adopted Resolution Number 95-75, <br /> . which stated that the City of Arden Hills was electing to participate in the Local Housing <br /> Incentives Account Program under the Act for the calendar year of 1996. This was the first <br /> action required to participate in the Housing Incentives Account Program, The second action <br /> I required to participate in the Program is submitting the goals to the Metropolitan Council for <br /> action. <br /> . Mr. Ringwald indicated the general framework is as follows: <br /> 1. Given that the City of Arden Hills, South of Highway 96, is fully developed the <br /> . potential for any meaningful number of new residential units lies with the <br /> development of land North of Highway 96, within the Twin Cities Army <br /> I Ammunition Plant. The City's participation in the Program and goals are linked <br /> to the residential component of the redevelopment ofTCAAP. <br /> Ie 2. The City of Arden Hills Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 1982. A component <br /> of that plan was the Land Use Plan. The Arden Hills Task Force has been <br /> . <br />
