NOVEMBER 17. 1994 3 <br /> I- <br /> Cormcil conCl.lITed as to Mr. Fritsinger's proposed review and reduction of applicants and <br /> I will meet further to give specific direction to the subcommittee for qualification <br /> guidelines. <br /> I VACANT CLERK/ADMINISTRATOR POSITION: APPLICATION REVIEW <br /> !POINT EVALUATION PROCESS <br /> I Acting Qerk Administrator Post indicated several applications have already been <br /> received with the deadline being November 25, 1994 and he expects additional <br /> I applications before then. <br /> I Mayor Probst inquired of the cormcil their wishes as to the process of selection, he <br /> recommended a two member committee to review applications and report to the other <br /> cormcilmembers. <br /> . Cormcilmembers Aplikowski and Keirn volrmteered to serve on this committee and <br /> would provide their guidelines for selection at the November 28, 1994, Regular City <br /> Ie Cormcil meeting. <br /> I Mayor Probst indicated at the November 28 meeting the cormcil could then comment <br /> and set a time frame for the selection process. <br /> I PAY EQUITY COMPLIANCE ISSUES AND ALTERNATIVES <br /> Mayor Probst indicated the necessity of planning the direction of the City so as to be <br /> I compliant with the regulations and to prevent penalties. <br /> . Mr. Post and Mr. Fritsinger presented information to the cormcil and indicated options. <br /> Councilmember Malone provided additional information regarding previous direction <br /> and solutions. <br /> I Discussion was held at length regarding issues and alternatives. Council indicated that <br /> I the staff proceed with the short term solution with the intention that the staff would go <br /> back to the plan strategies as set forth in 1991 for 1995 and follow through by managing <br /> the Pay Plan in the ensuing years to maintain compliance. <br /> I Mr. Fritsinger indicated an extension can be requested. Mayor Probst indicated as long <br /> .e as penalties are avoided. <br /> I <br />
