Approve Claims/Payroll. <br /> MOTION: Malone moved and Aplikowski seconded a motion to approve the Consent <br /> I Calendar as presented, and authorize execution of all necessary documents <br /> contained therein. The motion carried unanimously (4-0). <br /> I PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Probst gave anyone who wished to speak at this time an opportunity to come forward. <br /> I No one at this time wished to speak. <br /> UNFINISHRD AND NEW BUSINESS <br /> Ie PLANNING CASE NO. 94-26 CROSBY VARIANCE <br /> I Planning Coordinator Fritsinger briefly reviewed the Planning Case regarding a front yard <br /> setback variance at 1485 Arden Place West. Mr. Fritsinger indicated the applicants Paul and Mary <br /> I Crosby are requesting a sixteen foot front yard variance for the construction of a new home at <br /> 1485 Arden Place West. <br /> I Mr. Fritsinger indicated a precedent was established at 1548 Arden Place, where a 20 foot front <br /> yard setback variance was granted for the construction of a new garage. Mr. Fritsinger also noted <br /> similar grades in the surrounding lots. <br /> I Mr. Fritsinger noted the Crosbys' have taken care in maintaining the natural beauty of the lot in <br /> the design of the house pad. Mr. Fritsinger indicated the applicants provided a model for council <br /> I to review. <br /> I Mr. Fritsinger indicated the Rice Creek Watershed District has given approval for the proposed <br /> site. Mr. Fritsinger noted the requested site would not encroach on sewer easements. <br /> I Mr. Fritsinger indicated one of the particular concerns was the property line, after review and <br /> additional surveys, it appears the street and curb encroach on the property. <br /> t' Mr. Fritsinger indicated staff recommends approval of the request for a sixteen foot front yard <br /> variance for the construction of a new home a 1485 Arden Place based on the findings established <br /> by the Planning Commission with their recommendation of the condition; the variance is limited <br /> I <br />
