OTHER BUSINESS <br /> GB DISTRICT; Councilmember Hansen questioned the status of the <br /> DEVELPMNT DIST. Round Lake Study Area district and if a Council <br /> worksession would be beneficial to discuss and determine <br /> what actions are necessary to continue the development of the Gateway Business <br /> District. <br /> Paul Malone, Task Force member, was present and advised the Council consider <br /> declaring tha area a davalopmant district; ha added thera may be a need for <br /> retaining a financial consultant to outline City options. <br /> After discussion, Council concurred to direct the Clerk Administrator to engage <br /> the Planning Consultant to briefly outline what options are available and the <br /> method for declaring the area a developmant district. <br /> Berger reviewed three issues pending: I. Attorney Lynden negotiating with the Kem <br /> Milling Attorney for purchase of the plant, 2. Development of a Tax Increment <br /> District and legislation which relates to TIF, and 3. Locating a Developer for <br /> the GB District and determining tha lavel of City participation, preferably <br /> without assuming any risks. He stated developers have expressed interest in the <br />. area and the retention of a financial consultant may be the next step. <br /> TCAAP MEETING Councilmember Sather advised there would be a meeting <br /> held on November 30, 1988. at 7:00 p.m., at the New <br /> Brighton City Hall for City Officials and TCAAP representatives to discuss <br /> informational items. The next informational meeting is scheduled for February <br /> 1989. <br /> ELECTION TALLIES Mayor Woodburn noted the discrepancies in the election <br /> vote tallies, as outlined in the local newspaper. <br /> Clerk Administrator Berger advised that the voting information was inadvertently <br /> written on the City tally sheets, however. the correct totals were received by <br /> Ramsey County Election officials. <br /> PLANNING COMM. Mayor Woodburn recommended that Councilmember Growe <br /> & BD OF APPEALS serve as liaison to the Planning Commission and Board of <br /> LIAISON; GROWE Appeals for the remainder of 1988. <br /> AIR QUALITY BD. MTG. Council was advised there would ~e a meeting of the Joint <br /> NEW BRIGHTON Air Quality Board representatives gn December 1, 1988, at <br /> 7:00 a.m., at the New Brighton City Hall. <br />.
