<br /> . ~Minutes of the Arden Hills Regular Council Meeting, October 24, 1988 <br /> Page 6 <br /> SPECIAL MEETINGS Hansen moved, seconded by Sather, that Council set the <br /> following dates for Special Meetings: November 9, 1988, <br /> at 5:30 p.m. to Canvass the Election Returns; December 27, 1988, at 7:30 p.m. due <br /> to the Christmas Holiday; and January 3, 1988, at 5:30 p.m. due to the New Year <br /> Holiday, all meetings to be held at the Village Hall. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> , (5-0) <br /> CLOSED MEETING; Hansen moved, seconded by Peck, that Council set a Closed <br /> KEM MILLING Meeting to discuss Kem Milling Litigation on November 1, <br /> 1988, at 4:30 p.m., at Village Hall. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. (5-0) <br /> CLAIMS [, PAYROLL Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that Council approve <br /> Claims [, Payroll as submitted. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. (5-0) <br /> OTHER BUSINESS <br /> 1498 ARDEN VIEW DR. Councilmember Winiecki questioned the wetland alteration <br /> at at 1498 Arden View Drive; as outlined in the RCWD <br /> permit submitted with Council materials. She requested staff determine what will <br /> be done on the property either by contacting the owner or calling RCWD. <br /> PARK TRAILS Mayor Woodburn reported on the staff efforts to clear the <br /> [, DEDICATION parks trails behind City Hall which resulted in cutting <br /> down trees owned by residents on the trails. He also <br /> . advised that the Park Director has inquired relative to land dedication in lieu <br /> of monies when the last phase of the McClung property is platted; McClung appears <br /> to be receptive to dedicate land to join the park trail system. <br /> BUILDING INSPECTOR Clerk Administrator Berger reported he had surveyed a <br /> few other cities to determine their utilization of a <br /> part-time Building Inspector; he stated he has no recommendation regarding the <br /> position at this time. <br /> Councilmember Hansen suggested the job description for the position include a <br /> strong emphasis on Code Enforcement and maintenance of building records; she <br /> commended Larry Squires on the fine job of recording keeping he has done. <br /> FIRE TRUCK Councilmember Winiecki recommended Raymond McGraw be <br /> INSPECTION included in the group which inspects the fire aerial <br /> truck during its construction; she noted that McGraw has <br /> had extensive experience in this area. <br /> In discussion Council commented that the Fire Contract determines that the Fire <br /> Department appoint appropriate personnel to inspect the vehicle. It was also the <br /> Council opinion that the inspections would be for equipment associated with the <br /> truck rather than chassis inspection. <br /> . ADJOURNMENT Sather moved, seconded by Peck, that the meeting be <br /> adjourned at 10:00 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. (5-0) <br /> Gab~/!:~ Robert L.
