This was to be accomplished in two phases over a five year period. Phase 1: Install 50 lights at main intersections at the rate of 25 lights per year in 1988 and 1989. Phase 2: Install 81 lights at secondary intersections at the rate of 27 lights per year in 1990, 1991, and 1982. Phase 3: Do not proceed with this phase. To arrive at cost figures concerning this suggested installation schedule the committee used the following data: 1. Monthly cost, including installation and maintenance, for lights in areas where aerial service is available, is $9.40, or $112.80 per year. This includes setting poles if required. 2. Monthly cost, including installation and maintenance, for . lights in areas where underground service is available, is $11.50, or $138.00 per year. This includes setting poles if required, and up to 100 feet of trenching, but no driveway tunneling. 3. The cost of sod and yard restoration is $2.00 per foot. 4. The cost for tunneling under driveways is $6.00 per foot.
