Our low bid on March 2 was F. <br /> M. Frattalone Excavating at $564,428.02. We received five bids, ranging <br /> up to $660,092. Costs over and above the construction costs include <br /> easement costs (roughly estimated at this time to be around $60,000), <br /> engineering and legal fees. <br /> The engineer's estimate of June 6, 1986 was (for combined improvements) <br /> just under $600,000. There is $471,907.49 in the Sewer Utility Fund (Fund <br /> Balance Reserved) directed to this interceptor improvement. <br /> Don Lund of SEH will be present at the meeting. (Don Christoffersen and <br /> Barry Peters are on vacation). Jim Lynden may also be present. <br /> . (Item 5) Improvement HearinR, Glenhill Road - If the Council orders the <br /> improvement, a joint powers agreement needs LO be considered. t1ayor <br /> Woodburn has met with Roseville relative to this. Mr. Charlie Honchell, <br /> Public Works Director of Roseville, has submitted a preliminary agreement <br /> setting forth considerations discussed at this meeting. <br /> Also, in reviewing the minutes of February 9, the motion read It.. .an <br /> assessment against benefited property owners of a maximum of 507. of total <br /> project costs, excluding curb and gutter... n Is it reasonable to <br /> interpret this as meaning affected property owners are to pay 1007. of the <br /> cost of curb and gutter - or, has this not been determined? <br /> (Item 6) PlanninR Commission Cases - Planning Commission minutes enclosed; <br /> Councilmember Hicks and Mayor Woodburn were at the meeting. Cases 87-02A <br /> and B, 4173 and 4183 Norma Avenue; variances for sideyard setback and for <br /> a retaining wall were approved. Case 87-05, 3280 Lake Johanna Blvd., <br /> minor subdivision, approved. Case 87-03, SUP, Valentine Hills Elementary <br /> School. This is for a 5,000 square foot single story addition, which was <br /> approved by the Planning Commission. Case 87-04; property on Highway 96, <br /> east of Village Hall, rezoning from B-1 to B-2. As indicated in the <br /> minutes, considerable discussion transpired as to proceeding with this <br /> case under a PUD versus a rezoning. The final outcome was a unanimous <br /> denial, by the Planning Commission, of the rezoning. The applicant has <br /> requested continuance for Council hearing to March 30. <br /> (Items 7 and 8) Committee Reports - (7a) Jill Peterson has resigned from <br /> . the Human Rights Commission due to other commitments. <br /> (8a) Street LiRhtinR Plan - On November II, 1986, the Public Safety/Works <br /> Committee recommended Council adopt a street lighting plan to install <br />
