Mr. Dick Ward, who has done most of the Village's electrical work in the past, will probably do the work more reasonably than other firms. Curb Correction Raddatz advised approximately 1000' feet of curbing in the Karth Lake area, as well as in some other areas in the Village, will need to be mudjacked to bring it back to level again. He recommended a three to five year program be instituted for this work, completing 300 to 400 feet per year at a cost of approximately $1,500 per year. He further advised this work had not been budgeted. It was moved by Timm, seconded by Steglich, that Committee recommend to Council institution of a three year program for curb correction, commencing with those curbs in the worst condition. Motion carried unanimously. Jetter Truck Raddatz stated he would be requested Council to authorize bids for purchase of the jetter truck; $33,000 has been budgeted in 1987, and $30,000 will be budgeted in 1988, with an expected $10,000 trade-in. Motion was made by Steglich, seconded by Timm, that Committee recommend to Council purchase of the jetter truck. Motion carried unanimously. . Sand/Salt Stora~e Area Raddatz informed the Committee he had a structure design for enclosure of the sand/salt mixture, and advised the salt now is leaching into the soil. He further stated he would have this mat the matter be tabled until fall of 1987. Council Vacancy The Committee recommended support of the appointment of Paul Malone to Council to fill the position vacated by Dale Hicks. Recyclin~ Paul Malone distributed copies of his report on solid waste handling options. He summarized programs of other communities, funding available, annual costs for Arden Hills, and outlined recommended options. Mr. Malone recommended the Committee request informal proposals from currently licensed haulers, and the matter be tabled until fall of 1987.
