SUP (Cont'd) Moved by Thorn, seconded by Martin, that Commission <br /> recommends to Council denial of the Special Use Permit <br /> application for Institutional Housing of College Students. by allowing rental <br /> of sleeping rooms, Case No. 87-07, 1830 West County Road E, Helen Schmidt; <br /> based on the neighborhood concerns relative to increased activity, traffic and <br /> noise which would negatively impact the neighborhood and the incompatibility of <br /> the proposed use in a residential area and, furthermore, that the current <br /> Zoning Ordinance violation of exceeding the number of renters allowed, be <br /> addressed at some future date. Motion carried unanimously. (7-0) <br /> Kristine Poelzer stated she did not want to see the current zoning violation <br /> continue for a year or six months until the property is sold; she stated the <br /> neighbors have been sensitive to the situation long enough. <br /> Chairman Curtis advised Poelzer she could make a formal complaint to the <br /> appropriate City staff. <br /> COUNCIL REPORT Mayor Woodburn reviewed recent Council actions on items of <br /> Planning Commission interest. <br /> RESIGNATION; Commission members were advised that Time Tuggle had <br /> TIM TUGGLE resigned. Members expressed their gratitude to Tim for <br /> his years of service on the Commission and Board of Appeals <br /> and asked that a letter of appreciation be forwarded to Tim. <br />. COUNCIL APPTMT. Commission members congratulated former Planning Commission <br /> J. WINIECKI member Jeanne Winiecki on her appointment to the Arden Hills <br /> Council. Members thanked Jeanne for her dedication to the <br /> Planning Commission as a former Chair and member since 1972. <br /> Jeanne thanked the members and offered them her continued support as a <br /> Councilmember. <br /> ADJOURNMENT Moved by Zehm, seconded by Curtis, that the meeting adjourn <br /> at 10:00 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
