Lumber Co. at the suggestion of the Village of <br /> Arden Hills requests the rezoning of our property at 4947 <br /> Highway 10. We currently have a B-2 c~assification and we <br /> are told we are in non-conformity, tha t we should be in an <br /> 1-2 classification. It is our desire to follow the Village <br /> recommendations in this matter. <br /> There will be no change in the type of business conducted, <br /> . it will remain as it hs been for many years, a retail lumber <br /> yard. Scherer Bros. bought this site from Stewart Lumber <br /> two years ago with fifteen employees. Currently we have 28 <br /> employees with a total of 50 expected within the next three <br /> years. <br /> At this time it is our intention to expand and upgrade our <br /> facilities with particular attention to curb appeal. In <br /> order to accomplish these upgrades, as shown on our site <br /> plan, we find it necessary to seek set back and lot coverage <br /> variances. The letter enclosed from the State Highway <br /> Department shows that we have their blessings in this <br /> matter.
