Highway 96 <br /> Arden Hills, MN 55112 <br /> Re: Flahertys Arden Bowl <br /> Dear Ms. Morrison: <br /> Per our prior telephone conversation~ please bring to the attention of the <br /> Council that it is the intention of Flahertys Arden Bowl to offer teenage <br /> dancing for the months of May and June and perhaps longer into the summer <br /> . depending upon the economics of the situation. The dancing would be on Friday <br /> and Saturday nights for the remainder of this school season and then after <br /> school is out, perhaps on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The <br /> event is designed to attract persons from age 16 to age 21 and would be in the <br /> area of our lounge where we have had dancing in the past. The dances would be <br /> non-alcoholic and special policing would be accomplished to keep the dancers out- <br /> of our upper level lounge (we call it the "Bowlers' Lounge") were alcoholic <br /> beverages are dispensed. The Bowlers Lounge for the most part is a closed-in <br /> facility. <br /> The dances would be organized and monitored by Eric St. John's Entertainment <br /> Concepts (Randy N. Swanson) who I am advised has spent a lot of time working <br /> /i.'f> with teenagers at high school and college functions. It sounds to me like it is <br /> ~) <br /> Ii sort of a disco/disc jockey concept. I believe Mr. Swanson and his organization <br /> \ <br /> \" are known and enjoy a good reputation with Mounds View, Irondale, Roseville, <br /> Fridley and other youth organizations. Enclosed you will find a brochure <br /> concerning the promoter. <br /> Please Ie t me know as soon as possible if the Council sees any problems with <br /> this type of activity at our place.
