Criteria included <br /> student shall be (1) second year, or later, student at an accredited post <br /> secondary educational institution, (2) shall be a north central resident, (3) <br /> preferably majoring in communication. <br /> , <br /> Last year's scholarship was for $1,200. Bootsie Anderson is to send out a <br /> notice to Arden Hills to be posted and/or otherwise distributed. <br /> I-Nets <br /> Mr. Bauer advised there was some problem with the system because of switching <br /> and lack of cable technical staff, as well as problems due to limited band <br /> width available. Bootsie A. is to serve as consultant to study the concerns. <br /> Miscellaneous Discussion <br /> Telephones: Bauer discussed problems in getting through to the cable company <br /> due to busy signals; that pay-for-view was consuming a lot of time; and, that <br /> the cable company was addressing the problems. <br /> . Columbia Heights/Hilltop .Commission: Bauer discussed current usage by Columbia <br /> Heights/Hilltop of North Central equipment, and questioned whether the two <br /> commissions should be combined. <br /> Community Takeover: Bauer advised data was being collected for future <br /> possibility of municipal takeover of public access. <br /> Council Report <br /> Mayor Woodburn updated Committee members on recent Council actions. <br /> Adjournment <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 10:25 p.m. <br /> . <br /> ~---~ <br />
