We received, in Friday's mail, a counter-offer, as <br /> attached to Tom's memo. <br /> 16. Fire Report: Councilmember Hansen and Mayor Woodburn have met with <br /> members of the LJVFD and with Shoreview and North Oaks' <br /> representatives. Nancy will update the Council. <br /> 17. Finance Committee Recommendations: The Finance Committee minutes are <br /> . enclosed delineating their recommendations. It is recommended <br /> building permit fees b~ in accordance with the State Building Code fee <br /> schedule of 1985 (latest issued); the City now uses the 1979 schedule. <br /> The Committee is also recommending instigation of a 65% plan review <br /> fee in accordance with mandatory 1985 regulations. We now have a 50% <br /> plan review fee for all commercial and industrial sites. It is Larry <br /> Squire's opinion that the 65% plan review fee charge should not be <br /> directed to residential construction. I would be happy to discuss <br /> this with you either before, or at, the Council meeting. <br /> The Committee has also recommended an increase of our Planning fees. <br /> I believe the schedule, as enclosed, will be more representative of <br /> the costs incurred. Again, I would be pleased to address any <br /> questions you may have. <br /> 18. Human RiRhts Commission: Lois Donalds has submitted a letter of <br /> resignation from the Commission. <br /> 19. Resolutions 87-27 and 87-28: Resolutions setting forth sewer and <br /> water rate increases previously approved by the Council. <br /> Cardiac Pacemakers: Cathy has submitted a memo to the Council <br /> . addressing the request for banners and a balloon. <br />
