Miscellaneous: It is my understanding Frank Herbst is scheduled to return to duty the second week in September. . Jim Lynden is in Europe for two weeks; he will return on September 10th. Rob Plunkett will be available to the City, if needed. Mr. Lynden advises on the Hamline/96 Property, that the third party, GP-BAJR, INC. (representing Daybridge) wishes to hold their approval until the building permit has been issued for the daycare facility. They are working with Orlyn now; he advises he will be ready to write a letter of approval as soon as he talks with SEH about of couple of drainage items. 5. New Finance Position: I have attached the information which was requested during our meeting in May, when we discussed the new finance director position. Two alternatives have been presented for Council consideration. A position description, as requested, is also attached. Investigation Report: For your information, attached is a form which . Commander Bergeron has prepared for purposes of investigating liquor and gambling applicants. We do, currently, request an investigation for liquor licenses (and renewals), and I believe it will be proposed (in our new charitable gambling ordinance) that an investigation be made of managers of charitable gambling organizations. As you may recall, the Council at an earlier date, approved provision for a fee of $100 for investigations (liquor and charitable gambling) . j
