-
September ll, 1987, Informational Items Page 2
. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. Dog Kennel on Trail Easement (D. Hicken, 4242 Norma); Jerry Filla, after
talking with Mr. Hicken, has not (as had been stated) heard from Mr. Hicken's
attorney. He advised we go forth with the proceedings. A pretrial (second one -
as the first one was delayed to allow Mr. Hicken time to get an attorney) has
been set for 9/23; the trial should be within three weeks after that (Larry
Squires and John Buckley will be prepared to testify).
9. Mounds View High School: Mr. Filla has advised the Council could post signs
at the major entrances into the subdivision around Mounds View (currently posted
with signs about 300 ft. apart on boulevard). He further stated in order to
make this procedure legally defensible, the Council should:
1. Adopt an Ordinance indicating that "...the City Council shall direct
placement of traffic control devices by adoption of a Resolution (indicating)
placement of same), which Resolution would be kept in City Hall and made
available to the public".
[Also, with this we would have a clear record of where all our various
traffic control devices are placed]
2. The signs, at the entrance, should indicate names of street covered, as
well as Ordinance number authorizing posting.
According to Frank Herbst, there has not been a parking problem around
Mounds View yet this year. However, there has been several other problems
. with the commencement of school; out of the 24 hours Frank has worked since
his return, 18 of those hours have bei:'.n spent '";..ri-th Hounds View students,
parents and faculty.
10. Edgewater Estates; Development Agreement Addendum: I have attached, for
your information, a copy of the proposed third amendment to Edgewater's
Development Agreement. Mr. Lynden is still out of the City, so has not
had an opportunity to review it yet. As you may know, our re-hearing is
scheduled for September 28th.
[September 12th; Arden Hills Fall Festival]
UPCOMING MEETINGS:
September 16 Ramsey County League Local Government (Arden Hills City Hall)
September 17 Joint Meeting Finance Committee, Council, Department Heads
September 21 Arden Hills and North Oaks meeting with LJVFD
September 22 Park Committee Meeting
September 24 Public Safety/Works Committee Meeting
September 28 ~ Meeting (Gary Peck will be out of town)
~~~
.
