------------------ ---
.
,-
,
MEMORANDUM
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
. Date: September 11, 1987
To: Mayor and Council
From: Patricia Morrison, Clerk Administrator
Re: Agenda Items
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Special Meeting; Pavement Management Plan: Barry Peters and Dick Moore, of SEH,
will be present to discuss the recommendations for commencement of the
Pavement Management Plan.
Total cost of the project, if started in 1988, is $1,657,164.61. Order
of priority generally is sealcoating, overlaying, then reconstruction
(as a basic premise is to preserve existing good streets). Of the 27.37
miles of street in the City, 13.28 miles require no work.
2. Awards - Gardens: A tape (about 10 minutes) will be shown of the five
gardens; Don Messerly narrates.
5. Public Hearings: Notices were mailed to residents on 8/28. and published
on 8/26. Currently we have 62 delinquent utility accounts, 7 diseased tree
accounts and, as always, the two accounts for Roseville Water connection.
As you know. the Peerco account, now in the amount of $18,754.00, has
. been delinquent since 4th quarter of 1986.
6. Planning Commission Cases: Both cases were recommended for approval by
the Planning Commission.
A. Case #87-28; SUP, Kahnke : There were some concerns expressed by
neighbors with aesthetics and television reception interference.
The recommended approval extends only to the existing homeowner.
B. Case #87-29; Lot Division, Opus: The owner is requesting lot
division to allow for construction of an insurance claims center.
Also discussed, for possible future consideration, was reasonableness
of constructing a day care center on the smaller lot of the division.
7. Shoreview Letter: Shoreview is asking that we advise them of our future
plans as to if we will be purchasing fire equipment for LJVFD for
Stations 1 and 2.
8. Recycling: This was continued from our August 31st meeting; Paul Malone
will be present to discuss recommendations.
.
-------------- -------------
