Roger Frank, Director of the Charitable <br /> Gambling Board, has advised that with adoption of the Resolution by <br /> the Council, his office will accept denial of additional applications <br /> with an appropriate notice of denial signed by Clerk Administrator. <br /> 9. Case No. 87-28, SUP for Radio Antenna (J. Kahnke) <br /> Cathy has deemed the changes insignificant (her memo attached), and <br /> has advised Mr. Kahnke of this. The SUP, as prepared by Mr. Lynden, <br /> reflects Mr. Kahnke's last submittal. <br /> 10. Case No. 87-30, SUP for Roof Top SiRn (Transportation Electronics) <br /> This is the SUP as approved by Council at the October 12 meeting, and <br /> as prepared by Mr. Lynden. <br /> 11. U. S. Army Reserve <br /> Mr. Lynden will report on his findings. A copy of memo to Mr. <br /> Zakaras, Architect for the project, is enclosed, which I believe <br /> reflects the Council's position. <br /> 12. John Buckley's Report <br /> John is requesting Council authorization for hiring of his Fall <br /> Program Leaders. <br /> 13. RecyclinR Proposal <br /> . Paul Malone will be present to discuss a recommended recycling program <br /> and has prepared the enclosed memo fer your information; he will also <br /> discuss the Ramsey County grant cycle. <br /> 14. Treasurer's Report <br /> Frank will report on investment of a $450,000 C.D. (plus interest), <br /> which came due October 15, 1987. <br /> 16. Clerk Administrator's Report <br /> A. Audit Report: By Statute, upon appointment of a new officer <br /> (Frank Green in this case), an audit must be made. The process <br /> was started by Abdo, Abdo and Eick the day after Frank was <br /> appointed; a copy of the Audit arrived this week and is enclosed <br /> for your review. <br /> B. Data Transfer, Comparable Worth: As we discussed at an earlier <br /> date, Control Data Business Advisors, after having completed the <br /> Comparable Worth Study, on behalf of over 130 municipalities in <br /> Minnesota, was disbanded by the Control Data Company. The two <br /> major developers of the system, Kary Aho and Dwayne Bolter, have <br /> formed a company, PDI, to carryon the services previously <br /> proposed to be instituted by Control Data. <br /> In order to purchase the original data base from Control Data, <br /> and thereby continue the service to cities in the study, PDI, <br /> with the assistance of the MAMA organization, has initiated a <br /> . subscription fee, as indicated on the letter in your packet. <br /> As there is a possibility that we may at some time need to access <br /> ____________m__ <br />
