<br />Minutes of the Regu~uncil Meeting, May 11, 1987'" <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />REPORT OF CLERK ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />LONG RANGE FIRE <br />PROTECTION PLAN <br /> <br />Council was polled for consensus on when to begin <br />discussions of a long range fire protection plan. <br /> <br />Councilmembers commented that this matter should be held pending contract ~ <br />settlement with LJVFD and discussions with Shoreview and North Oaks are .., <br />concluded. There was discussion regarding the appointment of a Committee, and <br />if inquiries should be made for available land for a proposed station in Arden <br />Hills. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to hold discussion of this matter until fire contracts <br />have been settled. <br /> <br />PERMANMENT APPTMT. <br />CLERK ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />The Clerk Administrator advised she would complete her <br />six-month probationary period on May 24th and would <br />welcome the opportunity to meet with the full Council, <br />prior to that date, to receive their input and evaluation of her job <br />performance. <br /> <br />Council agreed on a meeting date of Thursday, May 14, 7:00 a.m., at Charlie <br />Chung's Restaurant and requested Morrison make appropriate notification to the <br />news media. Council discussed a salary increase; consensus was that the salary <br />discussion be held until the Union contract was settled. <br /> <br />Peck, moved, seconded by Sather, that Council approve <br />the appointment of Patricia Morrison to permanent full-time status, upon <br />completion of her six-month probationary period on May 24, 1987. Motion carried ~ <br />unanimously. (5-0) .., <br /> <br />FINAL READING; <br />ORD. NO. 246 <br /> <br />Council reviewed the final draft of the Ordinance <br />and recommended the following changes: <br /> <br />PaRe 4 - Sec. 26-42 - Proximity to Residences <br />Change the word Snowmobile to "Recreational Motor Vehicle" and delete the <br />entire paragraph beginning with the work "except" in the fourth sentence. <br /> <br />PaRe 5 - Sec. 26-49 - Handatory Pennant for Snowmobile <br />Change the word Snowmobile to "Recreational Motor Vehicle". <br /> <br />Moved by Hansen, seconded by Peck, that Council waive <br />second reading and approve ORDINANCE NO. 87-245, AMENDING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER <br />26 OF THE ARDEN HILLS CODE BY INCREASING PURVIEW THEREOF TO ENCOMPASS <br />RECREATIONAL MOTOR VEHICLES, REORGANIZING SAID ARTICLE, AND ADDING A SECTION <br />REQUIRING MANDATORY PENNANTS FOR SNOWMOBILES, as corrected. Motion carried <br />unanimously. (5-0) <br /> <br />CONCESSION STAND <br />LICENSE; SUMMER <br /> <br />Hansen moved, seconded by Peck to approve the license <br />for the Arden Hills Sportmen's Club, for a concession <br />stand at Lake Johanna, as submitted.
