LeaQua of Minnesota Municipalities Mayor Nethercut reported that he Is Chairman of the Metropolitan Affairs CommIttee of the League of Minnesota Municipalities and ~Quld appreciate comments trom the Councl I for Its next meeting. United Nations DlstlnQulshed Service Award Mayor Nethercut recommended and moved that thIs award, st~ned bv PrAsldent Johnson be presented to the Arden Hills League of Vot~rc seconded by Trustee Crepeau; motion carried. Trustee Crepeau suggested that the award be framed; referred to Clerk. ~ REPORT OF ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK LORRAINE STROMQU!ST Ramsey County Asphalt Plant da,'ed October 13, 1966, Clerk Lorraine stromquist read a copy of a letter, from Attorney Edelman, to the Board of County Commissioners Informing the Council of a meeting to be held on November 7, 1966, at 10:00 a.m. at .356 City Hall regarding the asphalt plant loceted on the northeast corner of Lex I ngton Avenue an.d County Road E. Trustee Crepeau Informed the Council that thG Coun-ty Is considering a $65,000 Improvement to the plant to attempt to eliminate the nuIsance factor. He stated he would attend this meeting. Mayor Nstoercut suggested and Trustee Bjorndahl moved that Arden HIlls work with Shorevlew as much as possible and go on record In favor of moving the plant If satisfactory e~lmlnatlon of smoke and dust Is not guaranteed; seconded by Trustee Hoffmann; motion carried. -4.- '. ~
