She explained that presantly the children ara taking refuge <br />under the overhang of a private residence, whIch she thinks Is an im- <br />position to the home owner. Mrs. Tschida Informed the Co~ncl I thet <br />Minnesota Federal will Install the shelter free for their advertising <br />and also provide $3,000 Insurance coverage. She submitted a plcturo of <br />the proposed shelter. <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut stated that he believes there Is a need for these shelters <br />in several locations In tbe Village. Matter referred to Public Safety <br />Commissioner Crepeau. <br /> <br />DRAINAGE PROBLEM <br />Mr. Jotln Lambros, 3213 Rldge~lood Road - sou"i"h shore of lG1-;e Johanna, <br />submitted pictures showIng damage to his property caused by the OV8rY~ON <br />of water from the County ditch between Lakes Josephina ond Johanna. He <br />stated that about 100 'eet of his property has completely eroded and has <br />also caused loss of some of his blacktopped ~oad; hB claims that technically <br />this Is not a water-shed. but Is In reality. He objected to the constant <br />flooding and requested assistance from the Council for corrective action, <br />Mr. Lambros stated that the water shed has been depleted because 01 the <br />construction of the freeways. <br /> <br />r.1;. Lambros Informed the Council that tJhen h,e a"i.tsmpJHld to get actl,on,he <br />was Informed by County Engineer Deane Anklan that this is a VlllagB prob- <br />lem; by Mr. McNlesh. chairman of the Public ,Works Comml';'1"€HiI, that I';' Is <br />a County problem and by the County Agent that this 15 a State problem. <br />Trustee Olmen stated that pressure should b. placed on the proper agency. <br />Mayor Nethercut Informed them that a comml,ttae I1lthln the League o'f <br />Minnesota Municipalities Is working on this matter. <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />Matter referred to Engineer Don Lund and requested that ho meet tllth tee <br />County and attempt to have an answer by the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />TWIN CITV INDUSTRIAL PARK <br />John Daubnay, representing Roberts ConstructJon Company, spoke on soveral <br />matters concerning the Industrial Park. Heln,formed the Council that a <br />building permit had not been taken out for the eddltlon to the buildIng <br />leased by Satchell Carlson because each companY ~ssumed that the other <br />had taken out the permit. <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by T.ustee BJorndahl, as recommended by <br />the Planning Commission, that the Building I~spector be authorized to <br />Issue a building permit to allow the construc~'on of an addition to the <br />Roberi"s Construction Company IlIsrGhouse leas!Ild by Setchell Carlson; moi"le:n <br />carrledo <br /> <br />Mr. Daubney submitted a complete slt9 plan for the Industrial Park chich <br />Included the proposed new warehouse 'or whlch.flnances are not available <br />at this time.
