Matter re- <br />ferred to Clerk to check tllth the County. <br /> <br />REPORT OF TRUSTEE OLMEN <br /> <br />Road Rapa I rs - MCHlild Avenue <br />Trustee Olmen reported that the Public Works Committee felt that a specific <br />polley should be set by the Council concerning the Ye8s1blllty of co~tln- <br />ually repairing certain streets In Arden Hills st the axpe~se of the tax- <br />payers or should a street improvement project be made and the cost assessed <br />against the benefitted, property owners. <br /> <br />Telemeterlnq Service <br />The Public Works Cumml~tee recommended that facilitIes for future statIon <br />needs be considered If feasible according to the engineer. Trustee Olmen moved, seconded by Trustee Hoff- <br />menn. that the Village Engineer be authorized to prepare specIfications <br />for the telemeterlng service; motion carried. <br /> <br />VlliaQG Hall Par~lnq Lot <br />ThePublle Works Committee felt that the costs submitted for Improvement <br />of the parking lot were too high; the Committee felt any amount more <br />than $2,000.00 should not be considered In view of the prospect of a new <br />civic center. <br /> <br />Mr. Brodie stated that possibly the cost could bG lowered by straight <br />blacktopping and a minimum of planting. Matter referred to Engineer Lund <br />for cost on the plan as revised by the Planning CommIssion using Plan B <br />as their basis. <br /> <br />Drainage Problems <br />Yrustaa Olmen reported that the Committee would like to study drainage <br />matters further. Trustee Hoffmann Informed the COlJncl I that the resi- <br />dents would like an answer to the open dlteh problem In Arden Hills 3; <br />the residents are .llling to donate labor for ditchIng and also the sodding. <br /> <br />REPORT OF MAYOR NETHERCUT <br /> <br />League of Minnesota, Municipalities <br />~1ayor Nei"herc:ut stated that the Seven COl1ntyMetro'po litan Sactl on o"~ th I s <br />league Is now In existence; thirty three munIcipalIties have already for- <br />mally Joined.
