Inc. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Trustee Hoffmann reported that the Planning Commission has recommended <br />approval of a conditional use permit to Markley Laboratories, Inc. to <br />operate a testing laboratory at 4606 Old Highway 8, subjoct to the <br />following provisions: <br />I. Development shall be according to the sit. plan submitted <br />March 22, 1966. <br />2. Odor and noise shall not be objectionable to neighbors. <br />3. Employees are not to exceed 6 IncludIng Mr. Markley and son. <br />4" Normal residential live load llml.t Is not 'j"O be exceeded. <br />5. Any sign must be set back five (5) feet from the {-ront <br />property line. <br />6. No refuse is to be kept out doors. <br />7. The garage, which Is expected to be used for storage of chemi- <br />cals, to'be locked when not attended. <br />8. This conditional use permit shall be subject to annual review. <br /> <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist inquired about a possible smoke problem; Mr. <br />Markley was present and assured the Council that this would be no problem. <br />However, Clerk Stromquist suggested and the Council agreed that thi~ be <br />an additional provision to the conditional use. Mr. Markley will submit <br />to Attorney Courtney a petition and ownership report as required prior <br />to the setting of a public hearing date; If these are 5~bmltted in time, <br />the Council could set a date at the special meetin9 of Apri I 4. <br /> <br />Variance Reque~t - Case No. 66-6 <br /> <br />Upon recommendation of approval by the Board of Appeals and the Arden <br />Hills Planning Commission motion was made by Hoffmann, seconded by <br />Crepeau, that a variance be granted to R. J. McNeish to allow him to <br />change the common lot line between lots 17 and 18, Block 2, Arden HII Is, <br />as shown on plot plan submitted and attached to Planning Administrative <br />Form 66-6, reducing the size of lot 18 to 11,200 feet, Carried. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Hoffmann, seconded by Crepeau, permission for a building <br />permit to allow an attached garage to the existing house to be con- <br />structed 10 feet from the north lot 'Ine on lot 17. CarrIed. <br /> <br />Roberts Construction Company <br /> <br />Trustee Hoffmann reported that Roberts Construction Is not cooperating <br />with the Plannlnq Commission regarding screening and boulevards. Trustee <br />Hoffmann has been rGquested by the Planning Commission to contact Mr. <br />R~berts. The Planning Commission recommende~ that the Council withhold <br />action on any future building permits until past requirements are met. <br /> <br />REPORT OF TRUSTEE CREPEAU <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF TRUSTEE OLMEN <br /> <br />. None. <br /> <br />REPORT OF TRUSTEE BJORNDAHL (absent) <br /> <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist read a letter, dated March 22, 1966, from <br />Norbert Soukup, President of the Arden Hills little Lakes Little lesgue, <br />requesting use of the ball field at Snelling Avenue and County Road F, <br />Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings during the season. <br />Mr. lagerstrom, Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Committee was present <br />and suggested that no action be taken at this time as other requests may <br />be forthcoming. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
