Attorney Courtney <br />states that the streets must be vacated before Council approval of the <br />plans. If the requirements are met in time, the Council could SGt a <br />date for the public hearing at the special council meeting of April 4. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REPORT OF BUILDING INSPECTOR CLAY KEllEY <br /> <br />Hazardous Buildlnqs <br /> <br />Mr. Kelley informed the Council that the house at 1467 County Road E <br />Is old property, but no hazardous conditions exist; this concurs with <br />the report previously given by Dr. Farkas, Health Officer. Mr. Kel ley <br />stated that another house on Johanna Blvd. warrants inspection. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ATTORNEY COURTNEY <br /> <br />Road Easement <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney Informed the Council that when the County turned over <br />the Snelling Avenue service road which Is located between County Road E <br />and the intersection of Snelling Avenue and Arden Place, reference was <br />made to the road only; however, the legal description submitted could <br />possibly include the easements. Attorney Courtney stated that if these <br />easements are included, they could be used for road purposes only as <br />this Is the only right the County has to pass to the Village. If this <br />adjacent property Is not to be used for road purposes, the ownership. <br />actually reverts back to the original owners, but the Village could <br />possibly acquire this property through condemnation, and obtain the fee <br />title. Matter referred to Engineer Lund to ~heck the legal description <br />for Inclusion of the triangle in question, and Attorney Courtney wll I <br />then contact the County to verify the status. <br /> <br />Villa!le licensing <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney advised the Council in his bpinlon the Village should <br />ho longer enf~rce the licensing of electricians, plumbers and questions <br />the heating and gas Installers; he wi I I give this further consideration <br />after consulting with the Village Heating Inspector. <br /> <br />CommunIcations Contract - Police Department <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau Inquired as to the Attorney's opinion regarding the radio <br />contract. Attorney Courtney stated that he intends to study the matter <br />and be able to report at the speCial meeting since the deadlIne for <br />action Is May 9.' . . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />REPORT OF ENGINEER lUND <br /> <br />Cummln!ls lane <br /> <br />Trustee Olmen requested Engineer lund to advise Fred Nixon on the grading <br />and drainage of Cummings lane to enable residents to use the road. <br /> <br />Arden Place Valve <br /> <br />Trustee Olmen was concerned. about the difference in actual cost and estl- <br />,mate for the Installation of a valve to eliminate a sewer backup problem <br />at a residence on Arden Place.
