MINUTfS OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />Villag~ of Arden Hills <br />Monday, Februci-y 28, 1966 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut cel led the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Present - Mayor Nethercut, Trustees Hoffmann, Crepeau, <br />Olmen and Bjorndahl, <br /> <br />Absent - None <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Also Present - Administrative Clerk Lorraine Stromquist, <br />Deputy Clerk Florence Honan, Attorney Vincent <br />P. Courtney, Engineer Donald Lund, Treasurer <br />Worth Read, and Building Inspector ClayKel ley. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Approval of ~lnutes <br /> <br />The minutes of the regular Council meeting of February 14, 1966, <br />~ere approved as amended. <br /> <br />Red Fox Road <br /> <br />Bob McNlesh, Chairman of the Public Works Committee, reported on the <br />Joint meeting of the Finance Committee and the Public Works Committee <br />regarding the Red Fox Road Improvement. Copies of the minutes of this <br />meeting were previously dLstrlbuted to members of the Council. Mr. <br />McNlesh reported the following recommendations: <br />I. The Council request the County to Immediately consider the <br />construction of Red Fox Road; this would take the County about <br />2 months to conclude a study and If approved, would be placed onlts <br />schedule which Is now filled for the next two years, but possibly <br />could be constructed sooner depending on priority. <br /> <br />2. The Council arrange a discussion meeting with the property <br />owners who petitioned for the Improvement. <br /> <br />3. If the County does not approve the construction, the assessment <br />for this Improvement should be apportioned between the Village <br />and the abutting land owners. <br /> <br />Treasurer Wortij Read, Chairman of the FInance Committee suggested <br />changing the n~me of Red Fox Road. The Committees believed the <br />County should consl~er this Improvement as It Is possible that <br />thIs road could be extended Into Shorevlew and connects two major <br />roads and also that It Is an Industrial road. <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />Mayor Nethsrcut thanked the Committees and stated that he was <br />pleased with the results of the Joint study. <br /> <br />Mr. McNlesh returned the drawing of RedFo~Road to Banister <br />Engineering Company. / 'd;t;;..' M'J...,~~ <br />, ~~j(...l ..( ~_ __.. ......,..,...____ <br />Trustee Olmen moved that^a rdquest be made to the County to study <br />the possible construction of Red Fox Road by them with the option <br />of changing th~ name of this road; seconded by Trustee Crepeau, <br />mot I on carrl'ed., Referred to Clerk Lorra I ns Stromqu I st. Mayor <br />Nethercut recommended that a probable time for construction also <br />be requested. Bob McNlesh. Stan Olmen. William Feyerelsen, <br />Administrative Clerk Lorraine Stromquist and Engineer Don Lund <br />were requested to serve on a Committee to meet with the petition- <br />ers as soon as possible.
