MINUTES <br /> <br />Village <br />January <br /> <br />OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />of Arden Hills <br />3, 1966 <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Crepeau cal led the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Present - Acting Mayor Crepeau, Trustees Dlmen, Nethercut <br />and Bjorndahl. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />'. <br /> <br />Absent - None <br />Also Present - Village Attorney Vincent P. Courtney, Tres. <br />Worth G. Read, AdmInIstrative Clerk Lorraine E. <br />Stromquist and Deputy Clerk Florence Honan. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney admInistered the oath of office to Robert E. Nethercut <br />as Mayor: Dr. Robert Bjorndahl and Stanley A~ Dlman as Trustees and <br />Douglas Barthany as Justice of the Peace. <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut continued the meeting and requested nomInatIons for <br />the fourth trustee. Trustee Crepeau nominated Richard Hoffmann, 1549 <br />water Avenue, stating that he felt Mr. Hoffmann was well qualified <br />because of his Interest In Village affairs and that he has been a <br />member of the Finance Committee for several yearB. There were no <br />other nominatIons. <br /> <br />Edge;.. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />...:.. . ............ <br /> <br />Trustee Crepeau moved, seconded by Trustee Bjorndahl, that Richard <br />Hoffmann be appointed Trustee for the calendar year 1966: motion <br />ca rr I ect'. <br /> <br />Attorney Courtney then administered the oath of office to Richard <br />Hoffmann. ' <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut Informed the publIc that thIs specIal meeting Is a <br />legal requIrement to, swe~~_ln tfie n~w officers of the Village and <br />also to make the annual committee appolntm8'lf,1's;'he also requested <br />questIons and comments from the audIence. <br /> <br />1966 Appointments <br /> <br />Msy'or Nethercut requested >(he Clerk )'0 read the appo I ntments. Trustee <br />Crepeau moved, seconded by Trustee Bjorndahl and motion carrIed, that <br />the following appointments be approved for 1966: <br />Acting Mayor Henry J. Prechtel <br />Publicity Coordinator Elaine Campbell <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut Informed the trustee that they would act as liaison <br />to the specific committees for the year as follo~s: <br />Robert Bjorndahl Parks and Recreation Committee <br />Stanley Olmen Public Works Committee <br />Henry J. Crepeau, Jr. Public Safety <br />Richard Hoffmann Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> <br />Clerk Lorraine Stromquist was advised that she would act as liaison <br />between the Council and the FInanCe Committee. <br /> <br />Mayor Nethercut requested the Clerk to open the two Informal bids <br />submitted for consIderation regarding the officIal Vllla~e newspaper. <br /> <br />Cleer!, Lorr~i;;, S':T0:nqW!st opened and read bids submJ-j-ted by the New <br />Brighton SuI !~tin and the North Suburban Newspapers, Inc. <br /> <br />Trustee Crep2BU move~, seconded by Trustee Olmen, thet the New <br />-1- <br />
