suggested that the City consider pursuing the DNR Outdoor Recreation Grant program to assist <br />in funding and allow the project to still be constructed in 2024. The DNR Outdoor Recreation <br />Grant is a 50% match for construction costs, the other 50% would need to be covered by the <br />City's PIR-Parks fund. Anticipated timeline is as follows: <br />• January 2024 — start of design work <br />• March 11, 2024 — City adopts Resolution 2024-014 <br />• April 1, 2024 — DNR Outdoor Recreation application due <br />• June/July 2024 — anticipated DNR grant results announced <br />• July 2024 — assumed DNR grant award / agreement / approvals <br />• July 2024 — Project bidding <br />• August 2024 — Award construction contract for Summer/Fall 2024 construction <br />Budget Impact <br />Within the proposed 2024-2028 CIP Budget (Attachment A), the Arden Manor Hardcourt is <br />budgeted at $160,000 as seen in the table below: <br />CDBG Funds $ 110,000.00 <br />PIR - Parks $ 50,000.00 <br />Total $ 160,000.00 <br />Given approval by Council, staff will need to adjust the budget to the following: <br />DNR Outdoor Grant Funds $ 55,000.00 <br />PIR - Parks $ 105,000.00 <br />Total <br />$ 160,000.00 <br />Engineering services from Bolton and Menk Inc. per their PSA is a project fee not -to -exceed <br />$33,695, of which approximately $5,000 for the DNR Outdoor Recreation Application and <br />approximately $18,000 for the `Shovel Ready' design work will be paid out of the PIR-Parks <br />funds. <br />Attachments <br />Attachment A — Resolution 2024-014 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />
