LIGHTING (Cont'd) Sather outlined the street Lighting Plan prepared by the <br /> PS/W Cormnittee and explained that Phase I of the plan, <br /> lighting all major intersections, is COITpleted and Phase II lights were to be <br /> installed upon request of residents and approval by the PSIW committee. He noted <br /> that residents have been requesting decorative lighting for installation, rather <br /> than regular street lights. <br /> The Mayor requested Commission review the Public Safety IWorks recorrnnendation and <br /> related materials and forward a recorrnnendation to Council for consideration in <br /> September . <br /> Sather advised the decorative lighting information, Parkway study, street <br /> Lighting Plan and other related information will be forwarded to the Commission. <br /> Mayor Sather also suggested Commission members tour the area along Wirth Parkway <br /> and Tllnberline Drive to view decorative lighting and contact the City of Vadnais <br /> Heights to determine the pr=edures to install such lighting. <br /> The Mayor thanked Cormnission for their attention to this matter. <br /> LEXINGIDNAVE. Commission was referred to a memorandum from Planner <br /> srUDY; SCHED. MI'G. Bergly dated 7-11-90, outlining the Draft Zoning <br /> Districts for the Lexington Avenue Business Area. <br /> After brief discussion, Commission concurred to schedule a worksession meeting on <br /> . Wednesday, August 1, 1990, at 6:30 p.m., at City Hall, to discuss the draft <br /> zoning districts and to invite the property =ers in the study area to attend <br /> the meeting. <br /> RESIGNATION; Peter Martin regretfully suhnitted his resignation <br /> PEI'ER MARrIN as a member of the Planning Cormnission, since he has <br /> recently moved from the City. Martin stated he has <br /> enjoyed serving on the Cormnission. <br /> Cormnission thanked Martin for his dedicated service as a Planning Commission <br /> member . <br /> ECONCMIC DE\.7EI.FMT. Chair Probst requested volunteers to serve on the <br /> CX11MISSION Economic Development Cormnission recently established <br /> by Council. <br /> Peter Martin and Dave Carlson volunteered to serve on the Cormnission. <br /> Probst stated he will contact those members not present to determine if they are <br /> interested in serving on the Cormnission. <br /> . <br />
