CITY OF ARDEN HILLS
. MEMORANDUM
------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
DATE: September 5, 1990
TO: Planning Commission, Gary Berger and Cathy Iago
FROM: Dan Winkel, Fire Chief, Lake Johanna Fire Dept.
SUBJECT: Fire Lane Access for Proposed Tennis/Racquet
Club Located Between Lexington Avenue and Fernwood,
North of county Road F
-----------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I have reviewed the proposed plans for the new tennis center and
I do not see the appropriate fire lane access roads that are
required by the Uniform Fire Code. The new facilities shall have
an approved fire lane roadway that encompasses the entire
perimeter of the complex.
It should also be noted that a roadway shall also be constructed
between the north and south groups of tennis courts. It is very
important that the fire department has a clear access to all
sides of all of the buildings within this proposed complex.
. If you should have any further questions, please feel free to
contact me or Fire Marshal Mark Germain.
DW:madlr
.
