Clerk Administrator Berger explained the rationale f= salary adjusbnents on the pay schedule on an annual basis and the salary adjusbnents for new employees as they become more experienced on the job. Council co=ed to discuss salary practices in conjunction with the prDpJSed personnel policy which will be reviewed at the November worksession meeting. Malone moved, seconded by Growe, to reclassify the position of Public Works SUpervisor to Public Works SUperintendent, based on the job description prepared by the Clerk Administrator which more closely reflects the job duties performed by the employee, and that the new position title became effective November 1, 1990. Motion =ied unanimously. (5-0) Malone moved, seconded by Growe, that effective November 1, 1990, Daniel Winkel be classified as Public Works SUperintendent, be placed at step 4 in the salary schedule for the newly =eated position, and be advised that his anniversary date for the position will be November 1. Motion =ied unanimously. (5-0) DISC;IDRKSESSION Council concu=ed to discuss the following items at the WPICS, OCI'OBER 22 October 22 Worksession meeting: 1.. Water study; 2. MEEI'ING Assessment Policy; 3. Cormnittees; 4. Keithson Pond. . Deputy Clerk Iago reported Mr. T.LIU Nelson has asked to be placed on the agenda for Council worksession to discuss parking at 1275 Red Fox Road. Council suggested Iago contact Mr. Nelson and request he attend the November worksession meeting. Hansen moved, seconded by Growe, to schedule a Council Worksession at 4:30 p.m., Monday, October 22, and to schedule a Special Council meeting at 6:30 p.m., Monday, October 29, to discuss the status of Keithson Pond. Motion =ied unanimously. (5-0) Mayor Sather requested Engineer Maurer be present at the 10-22-90 worksession meeting to give an up:Iate on the Keithson Pond and directed staff to contact the residents of Keithson Drive to request attendance at the 10-29-90 special meeting to discuss the pond. CDUNCIL cnlMENTS . MISCELUlNEDUS Councilroember Hansen advised the RCUG Meeting will be RCUG & SIGNS held on October 17 at 7:00 p.m., at Shoreview City Hall.
